Free cash memo maker
Give every counter customer a neat cash memo in seconds: items, total, PAID, and a UPI code when they still have to pay. It prints straight on your thermal receipt printer or on A4 and A5 paper. No login, nothing sent to anyone.
How to make a cash memo here
- Type your shop details once. Name, address, phone and, if you have one, GSTIN. Add your UPI ID under "Logo, signature and bank details" so a QR code can print when the customer has not paid yet. Saved businesses appear as you type.
- Add the customer if you want. For a walk-in sale you can leave the customer empty. For a regular customer, type the name: saved customers come up as suggestions.
- Add the items. Item name, quantity, unit and rate. Saved items come up as suggestions with their rate; pick one and the line fills in. Nothing fills in by itself.
- Leave GST off, or tick it. GST is off when you start, because most cash memos are made by shops that are not registered. Tick "Show GST on this document" if you want the tax shown on the memo.
- Check the paper and the status. The memo opens on "Thermal roll 80 mm"; choose 58 mm, A4 or A5 under "Paper size" if you need. It starts as Paid and prints PAID. Switch to Not paid and a UPI QR code with the amount prints instead.
- Save, then Print / PDF or Share. Print / PDF opens your printer, including a thermal printer. Share sends a PDF through WhatsApp or any app on your phone; on a computer the PDF is downloaded.
What it does for you
- Made for the counter: opens on an 80 mm thermal roll, with "Thank you, visit again" at the bottom. A4, A5 and 58 mm rolls are one tap away.
- PAID or a UPI QR: a paid memo prints PAID; an unpaid one prints a UPI QR code with the exact amount so the customer can scan and pay.
- One number series, CM/26-27/001 onwards, restarting every financial year, with a warning when a number is used twice.
- GST only when you want it: off by default; tick it and CGST + SGST or IGST is worked out from the two states.
- Remembers your items: items and customers you saved come back as suggestions, here and in the other Nivesh Sahayak tools.
- In your language: 24 languages on screen; the printed memo stays in English so anyone can read it.
Your data stays with you
Everything you type is kept in this browser on this device. There is no account and nothing is uploaded to us. Your businesses, customers, suppliers and items are shared with the other Nivesh Sahayak document tools through my.niveshsahayak.in, so details you saved while making an invoice or a quotation are already here as suggestions.

Questions people ask
Is this cash memo maker free?
Yes. Making, saving, printing and sharing cash memos is free, with no login and no limit. A small line at the bottom of the memo says where it was made.
Can I print on my thermal receipt printer?
Yes. The memo opens on an 80 mm roll; choose "Thermal roll 58 mm" for smaller printers. In the print window set Margins to None and untick Headers and footers. See printing on a thermal printer.
Is a cash memo valid under GST?
For a business that is not registered, a cash memo is its normal bill and GST has nothing to say about it. A registered business must give a tax invoice (or a bill of supply under composition); use the invoice maker for those.
Can I show GST on a cash memo?
Yes, tick "Show GST on this document". Do this only if you are registered under GST: an unregistered shop must not collect GST.
What if the customer has not paid?
Set the memo to Not paid. Instead of PAID, a UPI QR code with the exact amount prints, so the customer can scan and pay. Mark it paid later from Saved cash memos.
Do I need the customer's name?
Not for a normal walk-in sale; leave the customer empty. Add the name and phone for a regular customer or when the customer asks for it.
How much cash can I accept for one sale?
Less than ₹2,00,000 from one person in a day or for one transaction, under the Income Tax law. See cash sale limits.
Can I use it on my phone at the counter?
Yes. It works in the phone's browser, also offline once opened. Print through the printer's print service, or press Share to send the PDF on WhatsApp.
